There are moments in sport that go far beyond the scoreboard and our recent Sport Parkinson’s Walking Football Tournament at St George's Park was one of them.
Set in the home of England Football, the day brought together 24 teams, over 250 players and more than 500 spectators, all united by one shared goal: to prove that Parkinson’s does not define them.
A Day Built on Energy, Determination and Community
Across the world-class pitches of St George’s Park, two competitions unfolded side by side, the Trophy and the Shield, giving every team something to compete for and every player a chance to shine. But this wasn’t just about competition.
It was about, building confidence, improving physical strength and forming friendships with people who truly understand the journey
Each pass, each goal and each moment of encouragement from the sidelines told a deeper story, one of resilience and refusal to be limited by Parkinson’s.
Strong Partnerships Driving Real Impact
Events like this don’t happen in isolation. They are powered by organisations committed to improving lives and pushing boundaries.
We were proud to stand alongside, Cure Parkinson's, Parkinson's UK and The Walking Football Association, their presence reinforced an important message: progress happens when communities, organisations and sport come together.
Why Events Like This Matter
For many people living with Parkinson’s, isolation can be one of the toughest challenges.
Days like this change that.
They offer:
A sense of belonging
A reason to stay active
A support network that extends far beyond the pitch
This is what Sport Parkinson’s is all about, creating spaces where people are not defined by their diagnosis, but empowered to push back against it.
Be Part of Something Bigger
Whether you’re living with Parkinson’s, supporting someone who is, or simply want to make a difference, there is a place for you in this community.
