On Sunday 5th March, 18 walking football teams competed against each other in the Sport Parkinson's 'Cure Parkinson's Cup' in partnership with the Walking Football Association.
The aim of the tournament was to bring the PD community together to enjoy a day of competitive football in an inclusive and friendly environment - and what a day it was! New friends were made, medals were won, keeping warm against freezing cold temperatures was challenging but all in all everyone was a winner and Parkinson's didn't stop us! We also raised over £1000 through donations at the tournament. Thank you to everyone who kindly donated - your money will go towards donations which will go towards funding future events & activities for the PD community.
